Grass Lake Village DDA

Cattleman’s Coffee & Provisions

115 South Lake Street

Although late to arrive, this building has long been a central gathering place in Grass Lake. Once home to a hair salon and later a coffee shop, it continues to reflect the village’s strong sense of community and hospitality.

Historically, this site was home to the Lake House Livery Barn, an essential part of the nearby Lake House Hotel. The hotel’s owner, Barney Teufel, who raised horses, making the livery a crucial part of his operations. Teufel was known for racing horses on Grass Lake in the winter, a popular pastime in the area’s early days.
